Swan Hill’s go-to for Japanese and Korean sushi already had a loyal following — the food was doing its job. The space just needed to keep up.
For the revamp, we focused on material and restraint rather than overcomplicating it.
Our Crocce chairs anchor the room, with darker timber tones bringing some weight and warmth back into the space. It shifts the feel straight away – more considered, without losing that easy, everyday dining vibe.
From there, it’s a tighter palette. Natural finishes throughout, with the Midnight Slate tabletops helping tie everything together and keep things consistent.
There’s a light nod to Japanese principles — simple, balanced, calm — but nothing too literal. It’s been adapted to suit how the space is actually used day to day.
The room finally reflects the quality coming out of the kitchen.
