Formerly known as Puggs, the Metropolitan Hotel is regarded as Bendigo’s best dining and entertainment venue. It offers plentiful indoor and outdoor dining options, its function rooms cater for anywhere between 20-200 guests, it has over 20 beers on tap along with a great range of local and regional wines, and regularly features live entertainment.
Andrew Lethlean, the Metropolitan’s owner and AHA (Vic) Councillor, visited the Food Service Expo in 2017 He was on the lookout for high-quality, affordable and durable furniture to complement his venue’s transformation to a rustic country pub theme.
Andrew spotted Adage Furniture’s display and was immediately drawn their Acacia slab end bar. Working to a tight timeframe and creating a great new look was no problem for furniture consultant Kabir Malimar. He helped Andrew select the perfect furniture for the Metropolitan, including high bar tables and corner banquet couches, and everything – even the slab end bar – was delivered right on schedule.
