Eclipse Brewery first opened on Northam’s main street in 1897 before closing its doors in 1909. Over 100 years later, a group of mates brought the name back — this time as a brand new BrewPub in the heart of town.
This project was a special one for us. Northam sits close to Adage’s heart, just down the road from Cunderdin where our family business first started. Getting to help bring a venue like this to life, one we get to enjoy ourselves, made the whole project feel personal.
It’s safe to say this build knows how to wear its history well, with exposed brick, blackened steel and timber tabletops setting the tone throughout.
Inside, Edison chairs carry the room — channel-stitched leather-look seats on slim black steel frames, paired with Edison barstools along the bar.
Outside, it’s Pano chairs on the lawn. Lightweight, easy to move around and relaxed enough to suit a beer garden where barrels and drums double as tables.
Once finance came through, we only had a matter of days to get everything delivered and ready for opening. It was a tight timeframe, but the results speak for themselves.
We love how family-friendly the venue is — a space where everyone from the kids to the grandparents feels welcome, not just the after-work crowd.
More than 100 years apart, but the same idea remains: good beer, good company, and a space designed to make both feel right at home.
