Perth’s beloved Brass Monkey has taken things up a notch – literally. On the upper floor of the 129-year-old pub, a new dining experience has emerged: Crouching Monkey, a contemporary Asian fusion restaurant bursting with colour, flavour, and personality.
Rather than simply expanding the pub, the team launched Crouching Monkey as its own venue with a distinct, playful identity. The upstairs space has been reimagined – jewel tones, bold forms, and a confident energy that reflects the Thai-inspired menu.
A curved booth in punchy orange takes centre stage, while layered textures and a vivid palette bring the room to life, all set against the backdrop of the building’s original bones.
To complement the fitout, we supplied our Fender chairs, customised with a deep olive cushion. Their clean silhouette and grounded tone pull the space together – from the statement wallpaper to the rich blue carpet – without competing for attention.
In a venue full of character, the furniture keeps things grounded. It adds just enough structure to let the rest of the room be bold. No fuss – just good design doing its job.
