After four successful years in Mount Hawthorn, it was time for a major upgrade. A move south of the river to a bigger location in Karawara meant this hot chicken favourite needed a complete interior makeover to match its new scale.
We avoided the typical diner clichés. Instead, we focused on a tight, intentional palette that nods to Southern roots. Deep terracotta walls and rich timber panelling anchor the room with immediate warmth. To balance the heat of these background tones, we introduced the Edison chairs in vintage green.
The Edisons serve as the ultimate statement piece. Their pleated, olive upholstery gives the venue some retro grit, while the sleek black frames keep the floor space looking crisp and clean.
Paired with long rust banquettes and timber Newports, the layout balances great texture with everyday commercial functionality.
Now Drasko’s Hot Chicken finally reflects the absolute heat coming out of the kitchen.
