Richmond’s dining scene just got a fresh boost with the launch of Flour Child, a new pizzeria and cocktail bar on Church Street. This vibrant venue is set to be the go-to spot for anyone craving contemporary Italian cuisine in a beautifully designed space.
The new establishment perfectly blends modern charm with the lively spirit of its former life as a dance studio. We collaborated closely with owner Simon Kouba to ensure that every aspect of the design honours the building’s history while enhancing the overall dining experience.
Drawing inspiration from the successful St Kilda location, Simon’s vision shines brightly at the new Flour Child! Featuring a retractable rooftop that seamlessly brings the outdoors in, guests can savour their meals beneath the open sky, adding a delightful element to their dining experience. The interior design features banquette seating and elegant marble and brass finishes, reflecting the luxurious aesthetic that Simon is known for.

The thoughtful design incorporates hues of pink, gold, and blue alongside a marble aesthetic, creating a premium vibe that sets Flour Child apart from other venues. These design choices evoke a sense of elegance while ensuring diners’ comfort and functionality.
As Richmond evolves into a culinary destination, Flour Child stands out as a symbol of creativity and innovation in the hospitality scene.
