Take a load off your feet and enjoy some delicious coffee and treats at the Boon Wurrung Café in the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. This café is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Gardens after a pleasant stroll around this beautiful botanic oasis.

“Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne offers a natural bushland experience alongside the Australian Garden, an award-winning, contemporary botanic garden featuring the plants and ecosystems of south-east Australia.”

Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne was looking for chairs that were made from a natural product to reflect their values of people, place, plants, and planet. The chairs couldn’t be a ‘wood look’, they had to be made from real timber.

Multiple chairs were offered as a solution, and the pros and cons of using each chair were presented to the client. Adāge Furniture also offered up three different options for the tables. The advice we gave was to go with a simple black table top that would bring the timber chairs to life.

To give the client a better idea of how the furniture would look in their venue our consultant provided a range of sample chairs and colours for the table tops to the site. This gave the client and their café operators time to see the products in the space and try them out before coming to a decision together.

The client chose the Crossback chair to tie in nicely with the surrounding nature, and a custom table top in a simple Black Woodmatt.

The client created a site plan of the venue outlining the number of chairs and tables required. Adage Furniture presented a proposal to the client which was accepted, and the project moved forward to delivery. Since then, the client, café staff, and visitors alike have expressed how stylish the space now looks with this new furniture in place.
